👉 Moloch's Sanctum is the deepest, most dangerous level of Gehennom, housing the /Artifacts/Amulet of Yendor.
Location: The bottom-most level of Gehennom (typically Gehennom level 18 to 21).
It cannot be accessed by normal stairs; the only way to enter is by performing the Invocation ritual on the vibrating square.
Entry Requirements
To access the Sanctum, you must possess three unique items:
- The Bell of Opening (from /Dungeon/The Quest)
- The Candelabrum of Invocation (from Vlad's Tower)
- The Book of the Dead (from the Wizard's Tower)
You must locate the vibrating square on the lowest regular level of Gehennom, ring the Bell, light the Candelabrum, and read the Book of the Dead to reveal the staircase down.
Characteristics
- Layout: A cavernous area surrounded by fire and lava, with a massive unpassable wall enclosing the Sanctum itself.
- Inhabitants: The entire level is swarming with high-level demons, elemental enemies, and the /Monsters/High Priest of Moloch.
- The Sanctum: The inner sanctum is protected by a secret door. Inside sits the /Monsters/High Priest of Moloch, who holds the /Artifacts/Amulet of Yendor.
